Playing with Textiles - Mon AM

Service Description

This course looks at the use of textiles for inspiration and playful experimentation. Each week, new techniques and materials will be introduced, with time for artists to explore on their own. The course focus will be on exploration of materials, and participants will take the lead on the work they would like to produce. This workshop will emphasis fun, trial-and-error, and variety of making over traditional ‘skills’ building, and the atmosphere will be casual and conversational, with lots of space for peer feedback, question asking, and socialising! There may be some visits to local galleries or exhibitions if something inspires us. Week 1: Quilting Circle Week 2: Threading Through Week 3: Sculpting with Textiles Week 4: Dye and Print Week 5: Working into it Week 6: Reflection

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. Our refund policy allows for cancellations up to 7 days before the course start date for a full refund minus any banking fees that were incurred when you booked. In the case of emergency (medical or family) cancellations made within 7 days of the start date may be eligible for a partial refund or credit towards a future course. If we need to cancel your course you'll be offered a place on another course if available at no extra cost, a place on a course in the following term, or a full refund if preferred.
