‘Everywhere where there is interaction
between a place, a time and an expenditure of energy,
there is rhythm.’
Henri Lefebvre. 1992. Rhythmanalysis: Space, Time and Everyday Life
As part of our free monthly 'Analyse' meetings Tracy Hill will be discussing her work and practice.  Tracy is joint research lead/coordinator of UClan's Artlab Contemporary Print Studios which "tests the relevance of printmaking in contemporary, mainstream art by innovation and expanding print practice through a process of continuing collaborative dialogues with artists".
Tracy’s specific interests investigate the possibilities of digital technologies and the aesthetics of the traditional hand created mark. She contributes to both BA and MA teaching at UClan alongside studio members and professional artists' print practice. Her areas of expertise include Intaglio; Lithograph: Acrylic print processes; Walking art; Collaborative practice; Installation; Geo-location mapping and Lidar.
Tracy has been a practicing artist for over 25 years, using combinations of drawing, print and installation to reconsider perceptions of landscape. Her large-scale drawing and prints on paper explore the dynamic relationship between our human beliefs and customs along with traditions of the hand created image and developing digital technologies.
The event is free and there is no need to book. We very much welcome anyone who has not been to Assembly Arts before. For more information please email sarah@assemblyarts.co.uk.
We look forward to seeing you.Â
