About the event
Assembly Arts are delighted to be exhibiting a collection of works by artist Ingrid Christie. The culmination of a six month residency in the Lancaster Photography Darkroom at Assembly Arts, Ingrid Christie presents a range of work that explores how her practice has evolved as a consequence of learning new skills and approaches routed in black and white analogue photography. Alongside her photographs Ingrid will be showing a range of media including paintings and sketchbooks, providing unique and fascinating insights into her thoughts and methodologies as an artist.
"My art begins in the natural world and has been shaped over 25 years by studying the tides, weather and rocks on Morecambe Bay. I live a stone’s throw from the shoreline, which enables a deep and ongoing engagement with the elements.
