Service Description

Young People's Photography Club (Suitable for ages 12 - 17) . 9am until 11am Saturday mornings. Please note that this term is 4 weeks (£100) compared to the normal 6 weeks (£150). You are encouraged to continue attending the Club after the half term break to carry on learning & practising with Alan. During these fun and informal sessions in addition to learning about camera controls (shutter speed and apertures and so on) the main activities will be darkroom based. You will have the chance to develop your own black and white film and learn how to print your own photographs under the red safe light of the darkroom! The sessions are £25 per week which includes all film, chemistry and paper and because of the small number of participants (3 maximum) excellent tuition and guidance from photographer and Assembly Arts Co-Founder Alan Morris. No previous experience is necessary as you will be guided through all aspects of developing and printing. After taking pictures on a 35mm manual single lens reflex camera you will process the film and print from the negatives you have created! You may use your own 35mm camera or Assembly Arts can provide you with one.
