6 weeks Saturdays 2.30- 5.30pm Enjoy Oil Painting Classes with local Artist and Art Teacher, Saskia Wallbridge. Have you tried oil painting and come across some roadblocks? Is the idea of long drying times and multiple mediums concerning you to the point of confusion? Starting in January be led by artist and art teacher Saskia Wallbridge in a series of oil painting workshop sessions running on Saturday afternoons, 2-30 - 5.30pm. You will be provided with the space, materials, information and direction from Saskia to develop your painting skills and come away with a complete oil painting to hang on your wall. -18+ -Intermediate workshop: ideas for those with some painting experience -Bring yourself: all materials provided -Better than online content: real-life, hands-on help from a professional in a welcoming environment with discussion and Q&A. -Engage with both the rich history and practice of oil painting What will be covered in the course: -History of oil painting techniques relevant to the stages you will be using -The basic practical foundations of oil painting -Technical skills in: Layering and mediums, Colour Theory and colour mixing, Shadow and Light Sources, Composition and Focal Point, Tool handling,Surfaces. Saskia Wallbridge is a qualified Art and Design teacher based in Lancaster. Saskia is passionate about sharing her acquired art skills having graduated in Fine Art and Creative Writing at Lancaster University.
