Open now, Assembly Arts is a new, dynamic, supportive and collaborative artist owned and led visual arts hub in the centre of Lancaster. High quality, non-assessed teaching, principally in ceramics, screen printing, drawing and photography is combined with professional art studios in the magnificent Georgian Assembly Rooms.

Studios

Occupying the light and spacious historic dance hall at the centre of the Assembly Rooms building, studio tenants have 24 hour access, 365 days of the year. Assembly Arts are pleased to be able to offer unique and exciting opportunities for creatives to establish and grow their practice in the centre of Lancaster.

Facilities
​
Assembly Arts hosts a range of resources including a kiln, printmaking facilities and photographic darkroom, as well as bookable teaching/workshop space.
Assembly Arts welcomes enquiries from artists and crafts makers who would like to be part of our community and take part in our programme of events.

Gallery
In addition to the facilities and resources offered, Assembly Arts also provides opportunities for tenants and others to exhibit their work in the main entrance gallery space. Our aim is to provide valuable opportunities for both peer support and mentoring activities to occur between our community of artists and visitors to the building, including class participants and invited professionals.
