Lancaster Photographs by the Assembly Photographic Collective 1 - 15 March 2025

Established in January 2024 the Assembly Photographic Collective at Assembly Arts aims to provide a supportive and collaborative space in which photographers in the Lancaster region can share their practice. The focus is on photography that embraces social, cultural, experimental and alternative techniques, catering to a diverse range of perspectives on work.

Underpinned by an ethos embracing a kind and respectful attitude, the group shares knowledge and experiences pertaining to photographic practice, including exploring mutually agreed topics and techniques.  Members have opportunities to expand and promote their practice including through such activities as group exhibitions, photographic field trips and events.  The group meets monthly and welcomes new members.

The exhibition Lancaster includes a diverse selection of images linked by the city of Lancaster, with each photographer offering a personal interpretation of the place in which they live or work.  Lancaster includes work by Chris Bennett, Ginny Koppenhol, Ingrid Christie, Anne Featherstone, Heather Shaw, Jamie Buttershaw, Jenny Natusch, Adam Thomas, Brad Cheek, Reg Halsam, David Clarkson, Ruth Hanson, Joe Kinrade, Liam Grant, John Roberts, Nicola Lewis-Dixon, Marty Rigby and Alan Morris

Lancaster is open 1 - 15 March 2025
